About Alexis Carder, LSW

Alexis is a licensed social worker who obtained her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Akron in 2022.

While she is relatively new to the social work world, she has an extensive history in several aspects of the field. She began her career in child residential, which flourished into case management for adults and adolescents, an internship at Northcoast Behavioral Hospital, and experience working in a substance use rehabilitation center.

Alexis uses an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She strives to maintain a good working relationship with her clients by creating a safe and judgment-free space, encouraging clients to be their most “authentic selves.”
