Cyrene Kafer is a licensed professional counselor and a licensed social worker. She received a Master of Education in community agency counseling from Cleveland State University. Prior to that, she received a Bachelor of Science in psychology from The Ohio State University with a minor in criminology.

Cyrene possesses a wide vantage on the needs of clients who seek counseling. Throughout her thirty-year professional career, her involvement has included work with adult clients suffering from severe mental illness and drug/alcohol addictions, as well as experience with adolescents having problems related to behavioral and emotional issues. Her experience includes case management, residential treatment and diagnostic assessment. Cyrene enjoys working with people who want help building skills in communication, relationships, self-esteem, and who seek treatment for depression, anxiety, chemical dependency and codependency. 

The diversity of Cyrene’s experience has informed her practice in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, as well as Reality Therapy. With her, you will find a safe environment to achieve awareness, personal growth, and self-determination.
